Connect Claude to Dinoplan

Once connected, you simply ask Claude for what you want and Claude changes your floor plan in Dinoplan. Connecting takes two minutes. Below is exactly what you click.

What you need

  • A Dinoplan account with Bureau (or you are a team member of a Bureau account).
  • A paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise). Free Claude cannot add connectors.

Connecting, step by step

  1. Open claude.ai (or the Claude app on your computer), click your name at the bottom left, then Settings.
  2. Click Connectors in the menu.
  3. Click Add custom connector. A two-step window appears.
  4. Step 1 of 2. Fill in:
    Name: Dinoplan
    Remote MCP server URL: https://mcp.dinoplan.com/mcp
    Click Next (or Add).
  5. Step 2 of 2. Claude shows a few options. You hardly need to do anything, Claude recognises Dinoplan by itself (it says "Detected"):
    Authentication: leave Sign in now.
    OAuth client: leave Register automatically.
    Request headers: leave empty, add nothing.
    Click Add or Connect.
  6. A Dinoplan page opens. Enter the email address of your Dinoplan account and click Send login code. Click the button in the email (or type the six-digit code).
  7. You see what Claude is allowed to do. Click Allow. You return to Claude: Dinoplan is now listed under your connectors.
  8. Start a new conversation and ask: "Which projects do I have in Dinoplan?"

Nothing happens or you get an error? Check the URL (ends in /mcp), make sure you have Bureau, and try again from step 3. Still stuck? Email us: info@dinoplan.com.

What you can ask Claude

  • "Which projects do I have in Dinoplan, and which did I edit last?"
  • "How big is the living room of Lindelaan 12, and what is the total area?"
  • "Rename the room behind the kitchen to Utility room and make it a utility room."
  • "Add a bedroom of 3 by 4 metres on the first floor against the right wall."
  • "Set the client of this project to De Vries Estate Agents and complete the address."
  • "Undo the last change."

Safe

  • Claude sees and changes only your own projects (and your team's). Never anyone else's.
  • Claude cannot delete projects and does not see payment details.
  • A backup copy is kept before every change; you can undo up to 20 steps.
  • If a project was changed in Dinoplan in the meantime, Claude overwrites nothing and fetches it again first.
  • To stop: remove Dinoplan under Settings, Connectors in Claude. Claude loses access immediately.

Good to know

  • You see Claude's changes in Dinoplan after a refresh (or the next time you open the project).
  • Claude works with the measurements as they are in Dinoplan: centimetres, inside walls. Areas are net, just like in the app.
  • Claude draws new rooms as rectangles with walls around them; if the room sits against an existing wall, that wall is shared. Fine-tuning you do in Dinoplan.
  • You pay Anthropic for Claude's thinking; at Dinoplan the connection costs nothing extra.
